I have a galaxy MK2. The central locking works fine from the passenger side, locking all doors. The drivers side does not trigger the central locking. I also do not see the LED in the drivers door ever lit. The key fob is making the LED in the fob flash, but it does not operate the locking.

I have tried the reprogramming guide, but it made no difference. I have taken the door apart and removed the lock and locking module. It is nothing more than a couple of micro switches operated by a cam. I really can not see how this could be reprogramming the key. I am thinking about replacing the locking module. Can I just swap it with one from the breakers or is it paired to the key? (I have separated the lock from the micro switch, so mechanically would still keep my old key). Any help appreciated. Ignition is ok and engine runs.

Hi Arther Daley welcome to the forum,

In referance to drivers door in key locking Check behind the rubber on door hindge for broken wires its very comen for them to brake before you change locking mechanism. Once the wires or mechanism is

fixed you can turn right 3 times to enable programming mode.
